Uzbek state budget revenues up 21%

Uzbek Finance Ministry has published the state budget execution data for 2017.

According to the document, the state budget revenues grew 21.1 percent compared to 2016 and amounted to 49.7 trillion soums, while the budget expenses grew 20.6 percent to 49.3 trillion soums. The budget surplus amounted to 340 billion soums.

The value added tax accounted for the biggest volume of state revenues - 14.7 trillion soums (a 23.5 percent growth), excise tax - 7.4 trillion soums (a 19 percent growth), incomes of individuals - 4.9 trillion soums (a 17.9 percent growth).

In expenditures, as in previous years, the biggest volume of budget allocations accounted for the state support to the social sector - 26.9 trillion soums (an 11.6 percent increase).
