Chairman of the Agriculture Ministry's Department for International Affairs Houman Fathi said that Iran has been officially placed on the list of agricultural exporters to Vietnam.
“Vietnam’s ministry of agriculture and rural development has officially announced that the Islamic Republic’s request for being among authorized exporters of agricultural products to Vietnam has been approved,” Fathi said, IRNA reported on October 22.
Iran has managed to meet Vietnam’s standard regulations for quality, he added.
Fathi said only 45 countries on the East Asian country’s export list.
During Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's visit to Vietnam in Oct. 2016, both sides pledged to boost bilateral trade with a value of $2 billion.
Iran is also eager to export oil and gas technology and agricultural products to Vietnam in exchange for health and industry.
