The price of construction materials increased by 49.1 percent this summer in Iran’s Tehran (Iranian year started March 21) compared to the same period last year, Statistical Center of Iran said, Tasnim News Agency reported.
This is while the price of construction materials in Tehran increased by 25.7 percent compared to spring this year.
Prices of iron materials, reinforcements, door profiles, windows and handrails increased this summer compared to the same period last year.
Prices of wood materials increased by 64.3 percent and prices for services grew 4 percent this summer compared to the same period last year.
In recent months, strong devaluation in Iran has been a major cause for the price hike in all sectors, including the construction sector.
