Huawei thinks e-commerce in Uzbekistan can be developed through the creation and construction of mobile broadband communication, the press service of the company quoted the Director of Corporate Communications Department of Huawei company in Uzbekistan Davron Azizov as saying.
This will allow for the maximum coverage of all populated areas of Uzbekistan with high-speed and affordable internet, he said.
"In this regard, the company is negotiating with government agencies the promotion of innovative solutions that will allow for building a reliable network for users based on existing networks, thereby allowing them to become part of the digital economy in our country even in the most remote areas," said Azizov.
"One example is Huawei Rural Star solution, which has the advantage of rapid deployment, the use of solar panels instead of diesel generators, low installation costs, as well as quick payback, "Azizov noted.
This year, as part of the Innovation Day, Huawei, together with UMS, demonstrated for the first time and put into operation in Uzbekistan the Rural Star technology. Thus, they provided communication service in the village of Sina in the Denau district of Surkhandarya region.
Today, the penetration rate of home broadband and mobile broadband communication in the whole Central Asia is quite low. The average level in the region is only 34 percent.
