Afghan company Ghazanfar Construction, Road Work Rail Way Construction Material P.CO has signed a contract in Ashgabat for the construction of a mosque in Afghanistan’s Aqina settlement, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a message.
The document was signed in the Turkmen Foreign Ministry with the representative of the Turkmen Consulate in Afghanistan’s Mazar-e Sharif city.
Construction will start in November 2018 and is scheduled to be completed in December 2020.
The Afghan Turkmens living near the borders of Turkmenistan are the second biggest Turkmen ethnic group outside the historical homeland after the Iranian Turkmens.
The number of Turkmens in the country is estimated at around one million.
