The Iranian citizens are provided with necessary products and 42,000 rials are allocated for the import of these products ($ 1 = 42,000 rials), ILNA cited Iranian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ali Akbar Mehrfard as saying.
He said that this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018) the volume of the main imported goods and the amount of currency allocated to them is 13-14 percent more than last Iranian year.
Mehrfard said that some of these products, for example, corn, barley and soybean are imported.
Rice, meat, cereals are imported for consumption, he added.
Mehrfard said that currently, the export of agricultural products is fully controlled.
The deputy minister said that the import of some foodstuffs should be included in NIMA currency system.
Currently, there are a number of problems in the currency transfer systems, he said.
