IMIDRO: Copper cathode manufacture reaches 200,000 tons

During the 10 months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), Iran’s copper cathode manufacture reached 200,000 tons, Trends reports referring to the website of the Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to IMIDRO, there was an 11 percent increase in manufacture in comparison with the same period last year. Overall, the manufacture of 200,000 tons of copper cathode was planned for the current year.

Moreover, while the copper production for 1984 stood at 300,000 tons, that figure reached 459,000 tons this year.

Globally, Iran ranks eighth in raw copper extraction.
