Export of Iranian industrial and mining materials increases

The export of the Iranian industrial and mining materials increased by 15 percent during 10 months of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), Massoud Kamali Erdekani, director general of the department of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization, said.

Export of all Iranian industrial and mining materials increased by 11 percent during 10 months, Erdekani added, Trend reports referring to the website of the Trade Promotion Organization.

He added that the export of industrial and mining materials exceeded $26 billion within 10 months.

During the reporting period, the export of petrochemical products increased by 25 percent, bitumen - by 10 percent, chemicals and polymer products - by 13 percent, Erdekani said.

He added that export of iron ore, steel, non-ferrous metals, pipes reached $5 billion.

Erdekani said that the export of non-metallic products, cement, tin, decorative stones and other products increased by 4 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

He said that the export of electric and non-electric household appliances increased by 15 percent.

The export of textile and clothing increased by 7 percent, Erdekani added.

Iran’s industrial and mining materials are mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, India, China and Indonesia.
