Azerbaijani company implementing road project in Kyrgyzstan

AzVIRT, an Azerbaijani construction company, will build a highway between Bishkek and Osh cities in Kyrgyzstan, a source at the company told Trend.

The total length of the highway is 67 kilometers and is a part of the Madaniyyat-Jalal Abad road project, the source noted, adding that the project will be implemented within three years.

"Initially, the project cost was estimated at $60 million, but today it is expected that this figure will not exceed $50 million. Currently, preparatory work has begun on the eve of the laying of road infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan. Construction work may begin before the end of the 1H2019," the source said.

The source noted that currently all the necessary machinery and equipment, including the drainage system, as well as all the necessary building materials have been delivered to the site.

The project also involves German specialists who will share their experience in implementing the large-scale road project.

AzVIRT is one of the well-known road construction contractors in Azerbaijan and is engaged in the construction of roads, runways, airports.

In addition to the construction and design of roads and large objects, the company is engaged in the production of building materials, including asphalt concrete mixtures, fractional rubble, activated mineral powder.
