Export costs increase in Kazakhstan

Prices of goods that Kazakhstan exports and imports increased by 3.1 percent and 0.6 percent respectively in March 2019 compared to the previous month, Trend reports via Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.

Compared to December 2018 the prices of goods that Kazakhstan exports and imports have increased by 1.6 percent and 2.1 percent in March 2019.

Compared to the same period of last year in January-March 2019 the cost of Kazakh export increased by 12.3 percent, whereas the import increased by 8.5 percent.

The increase of export prices is observed on iron ore by 24,3 percent, coal by 17,2 percent, lead by 8,1 percent, Portland cement by 5,1 percent, copper ore by 4,7 percent, oil by 3,4 percent.

In contrast the decrease of export price is observed on ferroalloy 9,8 percent, the rolling of ferrous metals by 3,2 percent, aluminum by 1,2 percent, zink ore by 2 percent, chrome ore by 1,7 percent.

The cost increase is also observed on wheat by 4,1 percent, barley by 1,9 percent, cotton by 2,6 percent, wool by 0,4 percent, the decrease is observed on cereals by 5,4 percent, sugar by 1,5 percent.

Out of the imported goods the increase is observed on vegetables by 28,5 percent, sausages by 7,1 percent, dairy products by 3,9 percent, fish by 3,7 percent, poultry meant by 2,4 percent, margarine by 2,2 percent, tea by 1,8 percent, vegetable oil by 1,7 percent, coffee by 1,5 percent, whereas sugar decreased by 1,1 percent and tobacco by 0,8 percent.

Prices of plastic increased by 3,1 percent, paper by 2,7 percent, footwear by 2,6 percent construction supplies by 2,5 percent, whereas the price of leather decreased by 0,8 percent.
