Chinese company begins construction of cement plant in Uzbek Jizzakh region

Chinese company Huaxin Cement has begun the construction of a cement plant in the Zafarabad district of Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The project cost of the plant is $300 million. At the first stage of the project, which is scheduled to start at the end of this year, the annual production shall reach 1.2 million tons of M-500 cement. At this stage, it is planned to export about 120,000 tons of cement.

With the full implementation of the project, over 300 jobs will be created.

In general, cooperation with Chinese entrepreneurship with Jizzakh region is expanding. Currently, more than 30 projects in the fields of industry, energy, transport, telecommunications and agriculture are being implemented in the region with the participation of entrepreneurs from the People's Republic of China.
