In the past few years, instead of interfering in decision-making, the Chamber of Commerce has focused on working more closely with those neighboring countries, which are ready to cooperate with Iran, to deal with the sanctions, the Chairman of Tehran's Chamber of Commerce said.

“Some firms are shutting down due to sanctions and lack of market. Changing the business environment should be the first priority for the government so that we can solve many problems,” the Chairman of Tehran Chamber of Commerce Masoud Khansari said at the second meeting of the 9th Chamber of Commerce of Tehran, which was held on May 21, Trend reports citing ILNA.

In his words, signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2015 was an important step. "If there were no sanctions, we would have achieved great success,” he added. "Given that sanctions are getting harder every day, the government has to ask the private sector to help more than before.”

Khansari said, “The Chamber of Commerce should focus on the strategy of expanding influence on economic decision-making in economics, and expand relations with those neighboring countries having land borders with Iran.”

He further noted, "We must work with those countries that are ready to cooperate with Iran despite the sanctions with neighboring countries, which intend to work with Iran, to deal with the sanctions,” he said.
