Kazakhstan to implement projects worth over $2B

Over 120 projects worth 1.1 trillion tenge ($2.859 billion) will be implemented in Kazakhstan within the framework of Industrialization roadmap, Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan Amaniyaz Yerzhanov said, Trend reports with reference to the ministry.

Ten projects worth eight billion tenge, which created 317 work places, have already been implemented during first four months, the vice-minister said.

“The volume of export of processed production during January-April 2019 amounted to $5 billion, which is four percent less than in the same period of last year. Investments in fixed capital of processing industry amounted to 254.5 billion tenge during first five months of 2019,” the report said.

He further stated that the ministry is planning to implement new program of industrialization for 2020-2025, which aims at stimulation of international competitiveness of processing industry. The innovative industrial policy will be focused on development of processing industry with an emphasis on exporting ventures and the increase of labor efficiency.

“The project of the program has been developed and is on the stage of alignment. The program will soon be posted online for further public discussion,” he concluded.
