Modern jewelry factories to open in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan’s government adopted a resolution on measures to organize modern jewelry trade and production centers, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
The resolution approved the schedule for the organization of modern jewelry trade and production centers in 2019-2020 by regions.
The Ministry of Economy and Industry has the right to make changes and additions to this schedule on reasonable proposals.
According to the decree, modern jewelry trade and production centers will be located mainly in the centers for the development of handicrafts, as well as on tourist routes of the respective regions.
Moreover, to organize jewelry centers, unused buildings and structures will be sold to the initiators at a “zero” redemption value.
Entry visas will be issued without collecting consular and other fees for foreign specialists participating in the activities of these centers and international applied arts festivals held in Uzbekistan. Furthermore, when applying for multiple visas the state fee will not be charged from them.
