Iran exports cargo ship to UAE

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 9

A ship with the capacity of carrying 150 tons of cargo was exported to the UAE from the Qeshm Free Trade Zone (FTZ), located on Qeshm island of Iran's Hormozgan province, General manager of Industry, mine and production facilitation at Qeshm FTZ Mohammad Mehdi Berenji said, Trend reports with reference to the website of the trade zone.

The vessel, according to an investor's order, was constructed from fiberglass by Qeshm Azin Negin Boum company, Berenji said.

According to Berenji, the length of the vessel is 33 meters, the beam - 9.6 meters, the draft - 4.3 meters.

The vessel's weight is 150 tons and it can carry 150 tons of cargo, he added.

Expanding export potential, supporting private sector export projects, and attracting domestic and foreign investors to produce competitive products are in the focus of the Qeshm FTZ, the general manager said.
