Azerbaijan’s SAB sausage producing company has completed the development of a production line of delicacy sausages, a source at the company told Trend.
The company earlier planned to develop three types of halal (food prepared according to Islamic law, free from pork products, alcohol and certain other ingredients) sausages, according to the source.
“The development of one type of sausage products has been completed, and there are plans to launch it next year,” the source noted. “At the same time, we are increasing the production of other sausage products, including frankfurters. Next year, the varieties of this type of product will be expanded. Milk, smoked and boiled frankfurters will be produced. The company’s technologists are working to launch the production.”
“Since the beginning of the year, the company has increased production of organic sausage products to 550 kilograms per day,” the source added. “Next year, there are plans to bring these volumes to 600 kilograms per day.”
The company’s retail prices for sausage products range from 25 to 29 manat ($14.7-$17) per kilogram.
The company produces 60 types of meat and 50 types of dairy products under the SAB brand name.
The company’s production facilities are located in Azerbaijan’s Khirdalan city.
