The volume of exports from Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir to Azerbaijan exceeded $1.1 billion in 2019, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend.
In 2019, export from Istanbul to Azerbaijan increased by 18.8 percent compared to 2018, amounting to $893.9 million.
Export from Ankara to Azerbaijan increased by 36.9 percent and amounted to $194.2 million.
Exports from Izmir to Azerbaijan also increased by 10.3 percent, exceeding $60 million.
In December 2019, export from the above mentioned cities to Azerbaijan amounted to $148.3 million.
At this time, export from Istanbul to Azerbaijan increased by 22.4 percent compared to the same month of 2018, and amounted to $77.3 million.
Export from Ankara to Azerbaijan increased by 101 percent, and amounted to $64.7 million.
Meanwhile, export from Izmir to Azerbaijan increased by 41 percent compared to the same period in 2018 and exceeded $6.2 million.
In 2019, Turkey’s total exports to Azerbaijan increased by 11.9 percent compared to 2018, amounting to $1.6 billion.
In December 2019, Turkish exports to Azerbaijan increased by 38.6 percent compared to December 2018, amounting to $195 million.
