Volume of products exported from Iran’s Genaveh port up

The export volume of non-oil products from Genaveh port of Iran’s southern Bushehr province increased by 47 percent while export value by 11 percent during 10 months (from March 21 through January 20) of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Director General of the Customs Administration of Genaveh port Mohsen Khorramrokh said.

“Some 2,870 tons worth $2.7 million were exported from Iran to Kuwait, UAE and Qatar during the reporting period,” Khorramrokh added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

Khorramrokh added that fish, greens, watermelons, kitchen utensils and pottery products were mainly exported.

“Some 1,900 tons of goods worth $2.4 million were exported through Genaveh port during 10 months of last Iranian year,” the director general said.

“Some 14,400 tons of goods worth $43.4 million were imported through the customs during 10 months,” the director general added. “The import volume increased by 22 percent while import value decreased by 1 percent during 10 months of this Iranian year compared to 10 months of last Iranian year.”

“Tea, rice and sugar were mainly imported,” Khorramrokh said.

The revenues obtained as a result of the activity of Genaveh port reached 139 billion rials (about $3.3 million) during 10 months of this Iranian year which is 54 percent more compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

Some 1,100 ships were sailing from Genaveh port to the Persian Gulf countries and 975 ships moored to the port during the reporting period.

Bushehr, Genaveh, Deylam, Rig, Deyr, Kangan, Nakhl Taqi and Assaluyeh ports operate in Bushehr province.
