New licenses for setting up industrial, production enterprises issued in Iran's Gilan Province

As many as 345 licenses were issued for the establishment of new industrial and production enterprises in Gilan province in northern Iran, in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), said Farhad Dalgpush, chairman of the Organization of Industry, Mine and Trade of the province, Trend reports citing IRNA.

According to Dalgpush, the private sector is investing 14 trillion rials (about $333 million) to set up these enterprises.

Dalgpush added that about 5,660 people will be employed at these enterprises.

“There is 80 percent progress in the construction of 246 industrial enterprises in Gilan province. Some of these enterprises were licensed several years ago,” he said.

The official said that 16 special projects are being implemented in Gilan province within the framework of 'resistance economy' projects.

According to the official, progress in construction work on these projects is 65 percent on average.

Dalgpush said that 6.7 trillion rials (about $159 million) is being invested in these industrial projects. About 1,550 people will be employed with the commissioning of the projects, said the official.
