Iran's exports via Isfahan Province’s airport increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31

The product export through the Shahid Beheshti Airport of Isfahan Province, increased by 20 percent in the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 20 - May 20, 2020), compared to last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), said Director General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s (IRICA) branch in Isfahan Province Rasul Kuhestani, Trend reports citing IRICA.

According to Kuhestani, 151 tons (151,903 kg) worth $938,000 were exported through the airport in two months.

Kuhestani added that 121 tons of fish and shrimp worth $905,000, greens and sweets worth $32,000 and 100 kg of honey worth $490 were exported.

The official said that these products were exported to Kuwait by cargo planes in accordance with health protocols.

Kuhestani said that the products worth $780,000 were exported through Isfahan's Shahid Beheshti Airport in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).

"If there are conditions for the import of products and equipment for the packaging of exported products, the flight costs of cargo aircraft will be reduced," he said.
