By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Construction of the integrated gas chemical complex underway in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region is 66 percent complete, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas (KMG) National Company.

The plant’s construction was discussed during a working visit of KMG Chairman of the Management Board Alik Aidarbayev to Kazakhstan’s Atyrau and Mangystau regions.

“General construction work is being completed, installation of heat exchange equipment, metal structures and pipelines is underway,” the report said.

In turn, the work on assembly, installation and piping of complex technological equipment is planned in the nearest future.

A polypropylene (PP) plant within the framework of the integrated gas-chemical complex of Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries (KPI) in Atyrau will be ready by mid-2021.

KazMunayGas National Company (KMG) is the Kazakhstan operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
