Review of Georgian exports to China

Georgia exported 203,095 tons of copper to China worth $298.2 million from January through September 2020, Trend reports referring to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In the reporting period, Georgia exported 2,548 tons of wine of fresh grapes worth $9.5 million to China.

Meanwhile, 20.8 tons of medical equipment and appliances worth $6.3 million were exported from Georgia to China.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported 2,048 tons of aluminum in the amount of $2.8 million to China.

Georgia also exported 10,190 tons of precious metals and concentrates worth $26.2 million to China.

From January through September 2020, the foreign trade turnover between Georgia and China amounted to more than $864.9 million, which makes up 10.7 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $355.3 million to the Chinese market, which is 14.8 percent of total exports from Georgia.

Meanwhile, China exports to Georgia amounted to $509.5 million, which comprises 8.9 percent of total imports to Georgia.
