Volume of essential products imported into Iran announced

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 10

Iran imported 4 million tons of essential products over the past 37 days (October 2 through November 8), Director General of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Mehdi Mirashrafi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

The director general noted that of this volume, 2.28 million tons were released from the country's customs.

Mirasgrafi added that thus, 1.45 million tons of livestock products, 122,000 tons of vegetable oil and 311,000 tons of oilseeds were released from Iran’s customs.

“Furthermore, 91,000 tons of rice, 4,000 tons of meat, 9,000 tons of car tires and 1,160 tons of medicines were released to the country,” he said.

The director general also stressed the rest essential products kept in customs will be released soon.
