Iran produced 39,600 tons of red meat in the seventh month of the current Iranian year (from September 22 through October 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Statistical Center of Iran.
According to the statistics, a total of 22,400 tons of beef and veal were produced in 7th month. This is an increase of 61 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
“In addition, 13,500 tons of mutton were produced in Iran over the reporting month, which is an increase of 53 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year,” the statistics said.
At the same time, 2,900 tons of goat meat were produced in the seventh month. This is an increase of 38 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year, the statistics noted.
