Iran discloses details of its exports from Qom Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 12

As many as 92,000 tons of goods worth $104 million were exported from Iran's Qom Province during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Qom Province Mahmoud Sijani said, Trend reports citing the organization’s information portal.

The chairman emphasized that 59,000 tons of these goods worth $71 million were exported via the own customs of Qom Province.

“The exported goods were mainly copper wires, rubber materials, metal products, equipment, aluminum, and related products, footwear, organic chemicals, vegetable oil and butter, polystyrene fibers, and so on,” he said.

Sijani also noted that these goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, China, Turkey, UAE, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and other countries.

The chairman added that moreover, 27,600 tons of goods worth $130 million were imported to Iran’s Qom Province during the reporting period. These goods were exported from China, Turkey, UAE, Italy, India, Oman, Ukraine, Japan, Iraq, and France.

According to Sijani, the imported goods were mainly equipment, technical supplies, spare parts for road construction equipment, electrical equipment, medical supplies, etc.
