TEHRAN, Iran, Nov.30
Trend:
Iran and Afghanistan have negotiated to further develop their trade ties and open an Iran-Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Afghanistan, head of Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce Hossein Salimi told Trend in an interview.
"There has been a meeting held between Afghan businessmen in Iran's embassy in Kabul, where our previous suggestions to solve problems were discussed," he said.
"One of the most important solution was the establish of Iran's joint Chamber of Commerce in Afghanistan, " Salimi told Trend.
"Usually when we open a joint chamber of commerce with another country, we expect the other country to establish a joint chamber on its soil, so far we have repeatedly requested for it," Salimi said.
"During the recent meeting, Afghanistan has promised to establish it," said the official.
"Establishing a joint chamber of commerce in Afghanistan could improve relations between the two countries considerably," Salimi said.
