Azerbaijan reveals data on beverage exports for 10M2020

Azerbaijan’s export of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages amounted to $9.67 million in the first 10 months of 2020, which shows a decline in half over the year, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

At the same time, the share of these products in total exports of Azerbaijan dropped to 0.08 percent, while a year earlier this figure was 0.13 percent.

“In import operations for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a decrease of $4.58 million (7.9 percent) was also observed over the year. So, their volume amounted to $53.1 million. The share of these products in Azerbaijan's total imports amounted to 0.61 percent, having increased by 0.11 percentage points over the year,” said the SCC.

In 10M2020, the volume of foreign trade turnover of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages amounted to $62.8 million, which is 21 percent or $16.4 million less than in the same period of 2019.

In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in the first ten months of 2020 amounted to more than $21 billion, which is 25.7 percent less compared to the same period of 2019. Of this, more than $12.2 billion, or 58.25 percent, accounted for exports, and the remaining $8.8 billion, or 41.75 percent, for imports.
