Turkmenistan’s motor repair plant manufactures new spare parts for agricultural machinery

Dashoguz Auto-Repair Plant of the regional agricultural production association of Turkmenistan has established the production of more than 23 new types of spare parts for agricultural machinery, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.

The plant manufactured products worth 2.9 million Turkmen manat ($843,419) in 2020, of which spare parts worth 2.9 million manat ($831,444) were delivered to the markets.

The company produces spare parts for grain harvesters, arable tractors, equipment for tillage, cultivators, agricultural sprayers for medicines and more.

Turkmenistan is using foreign equipment in its agricultural sector, and in particular, the equipment provided by US companies such as John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co.KG and Claas. Thus, earlier John Deere company delivered more cotton harvesting machines to Turkmenistan.

In August of last year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental protection of Turkmenistan and John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co.KG signed a memorandum for the development of telematic digitalization in the country's agro-industrial sector.

According to the document, in the next few years, John Deere and Claas will deliver brands special equipment for Turkmenistan.

Reportedly, agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. It is one of the most important sectors of the country's economy. The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, and fruits.
