Iran intends to sign strategic documents with neighboring countries

Iran intends to sign strategic documents with friendly and neighboring countries for economic development, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran, Head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Hamid Zadboum said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to him, Iran has trade contracts with some countries, including Pakistan, Turkey and Russia.

Zadboum added that in addition, Iran is in talks with some countries. For example, talks were conducted with Afghanistan on a comprehensive joint program.

The deputy minister emphasized that 90 percent of world trade is carried out within the framework of trade agreements, free trade, preferential trade. In this regard, it is expedient to sign agreements with other countries, such as the agreement signed between Iran and China.

On March 27, the foreign ministers of Iran and China signed a 25-year agreement on comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
