Kazakhstan’s Kazgeology JSC worked over 16 projects within the state geological subsoil study according to the state order in 2020, Kazgeology JSC told Trend on April 29.
The customer of this work was the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use of Kazakhstan.
The work on nine of those projects was completed in 2020 and final reports were drawn up in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Article 90 of the Code on Subsoil and Subsoil Use).
As for the remaining seven projects of the state assignment, Kazgeology JSC continues to carry out the exploration work, namely:
- copper-zinc mineralization on the Taezh field;
- polymetallic mineralization at the Zhanaysk field within the Jezkazgan region;
- the discovery of gold and polymetals in the Eastern-Starkov field;
- copper-porphyry ores at the Kherson field;
- copper-pyrite ores within the Anastasyev-Katynadyr zone;
- copper-porphyry ores at the Sanasap field;
- polymetals within the Takyr ore field.
The company stressed that as for all the above-mentioned projects, it is envisaged to search for ore deposits by assessing the predicted resources, conducting the preliminary geological and economic assessment and justifying the further exploration work.
