Iran's trade turnover with UAE to increase

The value of Iran's trade turnover with the United Arab Emirates will increase to $20 billion per year by 2025 and $30 billion over the next five years, the chairman of Iran-UAE Joint Chamber of Commerce, Farshid Farzanegan said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

He made the remark at a press conference at the International Expo 2020 in Dubai.

According to the chairman, in this regard, a number of plans are to be implemented between the two countries.

Farzanegan added that Iran's tourism, scientific achievements and more are being presented in the exhibition in Dubai.

As reported, Iran exported 3.4 million tons of goods worth $1.3 billion to the UAE and imported 2.5 million tons of goods worth $3.2 billion from the UAE during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021).

In total, Iran exported 30 million tons of goods worth $10.7 billion within the mentioned period. Iran's exports increased by 69 percent in terms of value and 38 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

As well as, Iran imported 8.4 million tons of goods worth $10.2 billion in the three months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 34 percent in terms of value and a decrease of 6 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
