Food products manufacturing increases in Kazakhstan over 7M2021

The value of food items manufacturing in Kazakhstan amounted to 1.2 trillion tenge ($2.9 billion) over the period from January through July 2021, which is 3.9 percent more than during the same period last year, Trend reports citing Kazakh Agriculture Ministry.

At the same time, the sugar production increased by 3.1 times (from 51,900 tons to 159,200 tons), processed rice by 27.3 percent (from 103,600 tons to 131,900 tons). tons), cereals by 18 percent (from 48,800 tons to 57,600 tons), butter by 17.3 percent (from 13,600 tons to 15,900 tons).

Furthermore, fermented milk products manufacturing grew by 4.1 percent (from 131,900 tons to 137,400 tons), vegetable oil (from 272,000 tons to 278,500 tons) and flour by 2.4 percent (from 1.7 million tons to 1.8 million tons).

Cheese and cottage cheese production increased by 2 percent (from 20,700 tons to 21,200 tons), processed milk by 1.4 percent (from 354,600 tons up to 359,600 tons).

The volume of investments in fixed assets in agriculture increased by 45.5 percent and amounted to 386.1 billion tenge ($912,7 million) as compared to 261.2 billion tenge ($617.4 million) over the same period last year.

The value of investments in food production grew by 5.9 percent and amounted to 49.2 billion tenge ($116.3 million), which is compared to 45.7 billion tenge ($108.03 million) over the same period last year.
