IRICA declares value of Iran’s exports to several Arab countries

The value of Iran’s exports to several Arab countries amounted to $2.32 billion during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2021), Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

The spokesman emphasized that Iran exported $1.9 billion worth of goods to the United Arab Emirates in 5 months.

“Furthermore, Iran exported $228 million worth of goods to Oman within the mentioned period,” he added.

According to Latifi, Iran also exported $58 million worth of goods to Qatar, as well as $52 million worth to Kuwait over the five months.

As reported, Iran's trade turnover with foreign countries amounted to 59.3 million tons worth $34.2 billion during the first five months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 38 percent in terms of value and 14 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

So, Iran exported 45.5 million tons of goods worth $176 billion over the 5 months. The exports increased by 63 percent in terms of value and 20 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Within 5 months, Iran imported 13.8 million tons of goods worth $16.6 billion, which is an increase of 21 percent in terms of value and decreased by 5 percent in terms of volume.
