TEHRAN, Iran, Feb.21
Trend:
Brazil is seeking to review and change trade tariffs to improve
trade ties with Iran, said Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and
Food Supply of Brazil Tereza Cristina, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"We are looking to increase agriculture-related trade between the
two countries and also investment in private sectors," she
said.
"Brazil's tariffs are not solely for Iranian goods, however, it is
necessary to have a suitable tariff for bilateral trade and there
would be negotiations with the Brazilian Minister of Economy to
solve the issue," she indicated.
Iran-Brazil consultation committee is to be established in the
second half of 2022 to accelerate the process of trade between the
two countries.
The official noted that Brazil can import 2 million tons of urea
fertilizers from Iran and consider import of apple and nuts, olive
and olive oil from Iran.
