Iran discloses details of exports from Kohgiluyeh & Boyer-Ahmad Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 21

In total, 1,380 tons of goods worth about $2.03 million were exported from Iran’s Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province (south-western Iran), during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through February 19, 2022), Director-General of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province Customs Office Behnam Ahmadi told reporters, Trend reports citing IRNA.

According to Ahmadi, the exports increased by 5 percent in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“The main goods exported from the province were licorice, clothes, dried fruits, saffron, various cosmetics and health products, and so on. These goods were exported to Germany, Iraq, the UAE, South Africa and Russia,” the director general added.

There are 487 manufacturing enterprises in Iran's Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province. A total of 11.8 trillion rials (about $281 million) were spent on these enterprises. As many as 319 manufacturing enterprises operate in the province and employ 7,780 people.
