Iran’s TPO sees decrease in country’s agricultural exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. Iran's exports of agricultural and food products decreased by 22 percent in value and 18 percent in volume, during the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the statistics of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI).

According to the statistics, Iran exported a total of 873,000 tons of agricultural and food products worth $371 million for the first month.

Meanwhile, in the same month last Iranian year, Iran's agricultural and food exports amounted to 1.07 million tons worth $478 million.

In total, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to 7.32 million tons worth about $3.7 billion for the 1st month of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 24.6 percent in value, while a decrease of 10 percent in volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.
