Kermanshah Province accounts for biggest share of Iran's land non-oil exports to Iraq

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. Kermanshah Province had the largest share for land non-oil exports to Iraq among Iran's provinces for the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), an official of the Kermanshah Province Customs Office, Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh said, Trend reports.

According to him, 2.4 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $936 million were exported to Iraq through the customs of Kermanshah Province in 4 months.

“Meanwhile, Iran's total non-oil exports to Iraq by land for 4 months stood at 6.4 million tons worth $2.37 billion. Kermanshah Province accounted for 39 percent in value and 37 percent in volume of the final figure,” Abbaszadeh added.

The official also said that 872,000 tons of goods worth over $327 million were exported to Iraq through Parvizkhan customs of the province, 675,000 tons worth over $250 million through Khosravi customs, 516,000 tons worth $231 million through Sumar border market, 215,000 tons worth $112 million through Sheykh Salleh border market, 122,000 tons worth $14.6 million through the Shoshami border market.

There are 2 border checkpoints and 5 border markets in Kermanshah Province, Iran.

Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.

This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value and an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
