BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 24. Iran's aluminum ingots output decreased by 1.2 percent, during the first five months the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), compared with the same time last year, Trend reports.
As stated in the data of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), four Iranian aluminum companies produced 267,983 tons of aluminum ingots in 5 months.
During 5 months, Iran’ South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) produced 119,886 tons of aluminum ingots, Iranian Aluminum Company – 71,984 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 60,778 tons, and the Iran Alumina Company – 15,335 tons.
Moreover, Iran Alumina Company produced 99,473 tons of aluminum oxide for 5 months, which is an increase of 1.3 percent compared to 98,196 tons in the same time last Iranian year.
Also, the Iranian Alumina Company produced 199,192 tons of bauxite in 5 months.
On average, Iran's annual aluminum ingot production capacity is about 700,000 tons.
Meanwhile, 632,166 tons of aluminum ingots were produced by four Iranian aluminum companies over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), which is an increase of 12.9 percent compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
