BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 22. The phosphate concentrate production of Iran’s Esfordi Phosphate Industrial & Mineral Complex in Yazd Province grew by 38 percent in the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2023), compared with the same time last year, Trend reports.
As stated in the data from the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), the complex produced 77,353 tons of phosphate concentrate in 10 months.
In the same period of the previous Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), the figure stood at 56,099 tons.
During 10 months, the complex’s phosphate concentrate output increased by 69 percent compared to the planned (45,750 tons).
Moreover, the complex extracted 285,796 tons of minerals in 10 months, which is an increase of 17 percent compared to 244,953 tons in the same period last year.
The Esfordi Industrial & Mineral Complex is one of the affiliated companies of the IMIDRO and is located 34 kilometers from Bafq County in Iran’s Yazd Province.
