Iran issues eleven-month-long data on non-oil exports from Qom Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. Iran’s northern province of Qom exported nearly 220,000 tons of non-oil goods valued at about $213 million in the first eleven months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through February 19, 2024), Director General of Qom Province Customs Office Esfandiar Derikvandi said, Trend reports.

The director general stated that the province expanded its export markets to over 30 countries, mainly Iraq, the UAE, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Russia.

He added that the province also diversified its export products to include 35 kinds of goods, including lead, footwear, polystyrene, agricultural products, steel ingots, washing machines, etc.

Derikvandi also said that the revenues of Qom Province’s customs stood at 14 trillion rials (about $333 million) in 11 months.

Iran’s efforts to boost its non-oil exports amid the US sanctions that limit its oil sales. Iran’s non-oil exports include all products except crude oil, mazut, and white oil.

According to the latest data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran’s total non-oil exports for 10 months were 113 million tons worth $40.5 billion, representing an 11 percent decline in value and a 9.4 percent growth in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
