AZAL State Concern plans to start construction of the Lyankaran airport since 2006, deputy chairman of AZAL on operation and building of airports Etibar Huseynov told Trend.
According to him, preparations of the airport’s project documents are currently underway. "The issue of funding has not been solved yet. The decision is expected to be taken soon. By preliminary estimations, about $30-32 million will be needed for the construction", вЂ" he said.
The Lenkoran airport is mostly designed for freight transportations. The passenger terminal is planned to build here.
