The Committee of Directors of the World Bank (WB) considered memorandum on restructuring of the loan within the Institutional Building Technical Assistance project (IBTA-2), the WB Baku representation told Trend. 3,560m SDR (around $5,130m) saved within the loan will be spent on struggle with bird flu.
It is one of the projects destined for emergencies. Therefore, it was prepared and approved in such short term.
The project will be implemented after signing of the supplement to the loan agreement IBTA-2. The funds are envisaged for purchase of equipment to strengthen technical base of the State Veterinary Service and laboratories.
The second component on health includes purchase of equipment, organization of trainings, rehabilitation of laboratories, rendering of technical aid and development of communications strategy.
