100 hectares allocated to spring sow

99, 800 hectares have been provided for the spring sow this year, which is 9, 8% more than in the similar period of last year. The growth can be explained by the increase in the spring weeds seeding, the State Statistical Committee told Trend.

21, 100 hectares (with grows of 13, 3%) have been seeded with vegetable plants, 2, 800 hectares to water melon cultivation (growth 41, 2%), potato 1, 100 hectares (3, 3%).

The cotton covers 606.000 hectares being in 2, 9 times more than in the similar period of the last year, and 994 hectares are provided for beet.

Meat, milk and egg production has also experienced increase; 64,300 tons of meat, 294, 900 tons of milk and 203, 6 million of eggs has been produced in the country. Their growth rates are: 2, 1%, 4, 6% and 8, 7% respectively.

258 kg. of milk was received from each cow and buffalo, which is 6 kg. more than in the previous year.
