(autoinsidernews) - The last generation GT2 was nicknamed the widowmaker, and despite denials, Porsche is working on a type 997 Porsche 911 GT2. Spy photographers say that the new GT2 comes with an impressive soundtrack that can literally be heard half way around the NГјrburgring and has suggested the new nickname of the noisemaker or the the sound machine.
Built on the latest 997 platform, and slight based on the all-wheel drive 997 Turbo, which delivers a lowly 480-hp, the rear-wheel drive GT2 is expected to deliver at least 520-hp. Add the horsepower bump to a weight loss of around 100 to 150 kg, and the GT2 will take its rightful place as the uber-911, reports Trend.
