In January 2007, the production prices for the agricultural products in Azerbaijan increased by 4.3% as comprised with the previous months, and by 26.6% as comprised to December 2005.
The price index for the greens and melon families equaled 103.7% in comparison with December 2006, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan. In this period, the production prices for vegetables have increased by 3.5%, grains вЂ" 4.2% and fruits and nuts вЂ" 2.4%.
In addition, the price index for the cattle breeding equaled 104.4% as comprised to December 2006. The price for livestock and its products rose by 6.5%, and the prices for poultry and eggs decreased by 0.6%. The price for fish products increased by 1.3%.
