Labour Ministry Holds Labour Fairs in Three Azerbaijani Regions

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Babayeva / The Azerbaijani Labour and Social Protection Ministry held labour fairs in three Azerbaijani regions on 10 August. According to the Central Employment Department of the Ministry, the fairs were held in Lankaran, Siyazan, and Gusar.

As a result of the fair in Siyazan, fifty-six people were provided with jobs. The number of employer-organizations made up twenty, and the number of vacancies was 183. Twelve people were registered in training courses.

In Lankaran, 259 people found jobs, twenty-four were registered for training courses, and twenty have become involved in paid public work. Some fifty-five organizations offered 666 vacancies.

The fair in Gusar, which was attended by nineteen companies offering 299 vacancies, provided forty-nine people with jobs, and twenty were enrolled in training courses.

From the beginning of the year, the Labour Ministry has organized labour fairs in fifteen towns and regions of Azerbaijan, including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR). As a result, 1,440 people found jobs, 181 were sent to training courses, and 135 to paid pubic work. The number of companies participating in the fairs totalled 582, offering 5,921 vacancies. The next labour fair will be held in Goranboy region on 15 August.
