Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Aliyev / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has shipped for East Energy 40% of the contract petrol for Iran. The company said on 11 September that it plans to deliver this year 400,000 tons of petrol for East Energy, with 170,000 tons which has been already delivered.
The export of petrol was suspended in July due to unexpected repair work of the catalytic cracking plant in Heydar Aliyev Oil Refining Plant (former Azerneftyanajag). The plant is once again operating as normal. Azerbaijan has plans to send 8 tankers each with 4,200 tons to Iran.
The SOCAR has a contract with East Energy for delivery of 550,000 tons of diesel fuel to Iran, of which 250,000 tons have been already supplied.
