Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / Currently more than 125,000 tons of oil and condensate are produced in Azerbaijan. This is a record indicator, said the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovnak Abdullayev, at the meeting on preparation to the winter period. The meeting was presided by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
Up to now, more than 31mln tons of Azerbaijani oil have been delivered to the world market from Ceyhan terminal, the SOCAR President said.
Abdullayev said that the gas production is expected to be increased up to 8bln cu.m of gas in 2008 and gas pumping up to 7bln cu.m. Over the recent ten months, the SOCAR produced 4.2bln cu.m of gas or 40% increase from the same period of 2006. Taking into account the gas from Azeri and Shah Deniz fields, the gross volume of the gas over the past ten months of 2007 made up 7.4bln cu.m. According to him, by the end of 2007, SOCAR's gas production will make up 5.9bln cu.m.
Currently more than 15mln cu.m of gas is produced from Shah Deniz field per day.
According to Abdullayev, the gas production from Guneshli field increased by 2.2 times compared to 2006 made up 14mln cu.m per day. "Currently the SOCAR produces 16.5mln cu.m of gas per day," Abdullayev said.
