Ukraine, Kiev, 18 January / corr Trend Z.Novosvitskiy / The probability of returning to the practice of concluding the direct agreements (without any mediators) between the Russian-Gasprom and Naftogas companies, for the gas delivery to Ukraine, seems to be real, Konstantin Lesnichiy, the Managing Director on Sales and New Markets of Sokrat Company.
Since 2006, the gas has been exported to Ukraine and sold for the industrial demand of consumers through the mediation of Swiss companies- RosUkrEnergo and UkrGasEnergo. Before, Naftogas Ukraine was the monopolist in this sphere.
Nevertheless, the expert does not exclude that the scheme of delivery will not be changed, because the capacity related to the gas transportation from Asia to Ukraine were contracted not by Gasprom, but by some other company.
The Central Asian gas is delivered for the Ukrainian consumers from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Lesnichiy is still sure that one more company will appear in the system of internal distribution of gas straightly among the consumers. At present, the two companies releases gas in Ukraine. These are UkrGasEnergo for the industrial consumers and Naftogas for the enterprises of the thermo-communal energy.
"With respect to decentralize of the gas distribution, one more company will be established to deliver gas to the final consumers," Lesnichiy said.
On 17 Jan, Oleg Dubin, the chairman of the Managing Board of Naftogas Ukraine, left for Moscow for talks with the leadership of Gasprom, in connection with the conclusion of a direct deal on the gas delivery to Ukraine.
