Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 August / Trend / In order to increase the volume of gas, exported from Azerbaijan to Georgia, repair and re-construction work is carried out on the main gas pipeline Kazi-Mammad-Gazakh-Border of Georgia and at the compressor station in Agdash region of Azerbaijan, the Director-General of the Production Unit Azerigaznagl (transport of gas), Zaman Chalabiyev, said.
The length of the pipeline is 416km, diameter - 1220/1020mm.
As a result of carried out works, gas will be supplied under high pressure in
the required volume, said Chalabiyev.
The export of Azerbaijan gas to Georgia via this gas pipeline is realized by
the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, which has an agreement on supply of more
than 600mln cu.m of gas to the country.
In April - July (delivery commenced from April), SOCAR exported to Georgia approximately 123.5mln. cu.m of gas. In July the volume of export
was 35.4mln cu.m of the gas.
